What we have done is setup a system so the ad revenue can be shared between all active members of the main site

The site displays ads within the posted articles on the main website. We use Google AdSense to automatically serve relevant ads for the content on the page. Google pays AdSense publishers on a per click basis as well as per impression.

If a user has an AdSense account, they have the ability to credit their account with the ads served on article they submitted. For example, you submitted an article and it was approved by the admin.  Once the article is live on the main site, 50% of the time the system will show your ads.  So, if 1000 people view that article, 500 impressions will go toward your ads and you keep the revenue that is made from the clicks/impression.
